Paul Hawken is a business leader, environmentalist, and author. He is known as one of the leading architects and proponents of corporate reform with respect to ecological practices. His writings and work have caused CEOs to transform their internal corporate culture and business philosophy towards environmental restoration. Paul has:

 · Written such best-selling books as The Ecology of Commerce, Growing a Business and his latest is Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution.
 · Founded several companies, including Metacode, a B2B infrastructure company; Groxis, a portal and search engine interface software provide; and Smith & Hawken, the garden and catalog retailer, and several of the first natural food companies in the US that relied solely on sustainable agricultural methods.
 · Served on the board of many environmental organizations including Conservation International, National Audobon Society, Trust for Public Land and Friends of the Earth.
 · Helped found The Natural Step in the United States and internationally, and advises many companies on sustainability issues.
 · Given keynote addresses to: The King of Sweden Environmental Seminar, Department of Commerce, State of Washington, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Yale University, American Institute of Architects, Cambridge University, Apple Computer, Citicorp and several hundred others.
